Organizing Coupons

Last night a large part of the twitter party was spent on how everyone organizes their coupons. There are SO many different ways to organize coupons and it all comes down to - do what works for you!

I've tried a couple different ways and usually go back to my boring (accordion style) coupon holder. :) I like a regular coupon holder because I can flip through my coupons fast and it fits in my purse nicely so I can carry it with me always so I don't miss a sale. The only drawback, I find for me, is that I am starting to accumulate too many coupons for my holder and it is becoming a mess!
So, I decided to try the Couponizer. So far, I really like it. I like that it is a little larger, so it can hold more coupons and it has more sections than a normal coupon holder. What I really love about it are the extra sections. There is a place for my loyalty cards (like MVP card from Food Lion, etc...I have so many and they all equal great deals!) and a place for rewards cards (like my stamp card for Carter's ...where you get so many stamps and save $10 off $10), a place for coupons that are about to expire, and for not only coupons you plan to use...but then there is a place right next to it to put the coupons you actually are going to hand to the cashier (no more stuffing them in my pocket as I find the items!). The other extra sections hold your receipts, your store list, and a place to track how much you spent and how much you saved. I've only had it for a couple weeks, but so far so good!

I buy 2 papers, cut out one set of coupons, label the other set of coupons with the date and file them. This way I have coupons with me at all times so I don't miss a sale and another set in case the sale is that good I want to buy doubles!

Throughout the next couple of weeks I will let you in on what some of the other mommies do to organize their coupons, where to find coupons, and how to use them. Please let me know if you have questions!

Please share if you have found a great system!

Keep up with the freebies, coupons and discounts! Subscribe ! It's Free!
