What I'm Looking for when Shopping - After Holidays

Here is a list of some of the items I'm looking for over the next week.  Now is a great time to find great deals and stock up :)

1. Storage Containers - green and red tubs can store my items just as well as black and gray can and now is a great time to save on storage containers. No one will know your sweaters are stored in a Christmas Ornament tub, but you!

2. Toys! - I have lots of newphews and friends with kids, so now is a perfect time to stock up on toys for birthdays and other events. Take those Christmas lists and use them to help you find another great gift!

3. Winter Clothes - There are still a good 2-3 months of winter weather or at least very cool weather left here and a great opportunity to buy for next year!  Long sleeves and short sleeves can almost be used year round, so stock up on those great deals!

4. Stocking Stuffers - the little packs of stocking stuffer items - erasers, pencils, small toys, etc.- come in great at all times of the year. Fill up your own treat basket, send them to school for the teacher's treasure box, put them in the car for help on trips, or save them for next year.  Plus most kids don't mind that they are using holiday pencils and erasers throughout the year :)

5. Christmas Items - of course it's a great time to stock up for next year too! Especially for decorations - like a tree skirt (I mean why are they so expensive normally???).

A couple things to remember:

1. Keep the Christmas lists to help guide you to great gifts throughout the year

2. Look for "plain" items. Solid red plates can work throughout the year and solid green wrapping paper can be used for any occasion, etc.

3. If you like the scent, taste, etc. stock up now even if the packaging is Christmas.  We like the Candy Apple scent from Bath and Body Works and stock up now to have it throughout the year, Red and Green M&Ms taste great even in February :)

4. Ask this "Do I really love it or just love the price?"  I have to say this to myself often so I'm not just buying to buy :)
