Applebee's - An Affordable way to Dine Out with a Family of Six Review
I recently had the opportunity to take my busy family of six to Applebee's for dinner. Let me start of by saying...we don't go out to eat much. If we do, we usually get dinner on the go. But, we were given two gift cards to do a review with, so we decided to give it a try. My children are 6, 5, 2, and 1. When we sat down, I was so impressed with the environment. The waiter that we had was amazingly efficient and very understanding of my needs with the kids. Let's be realistic...it's hard to try to maintain any sort of peace when you have four children...and the wait for food can be very difficult! Our waiter was more than patient and VERY quick to accomodate - even offering to bring out the food for the kids before our food to make our wait a little easier!
My children were able to eat free with the purchase of our entrees (it was a Tuesday night). All in all...it was a very reasonably priced night out for the family! There is a great new 550 calorie menu that I have been eyeing up. There are some great selections for some great prices. I tried the Roasted Garlic Sirloin. It was delicious! I love the idea of eating out for dinner and not worrying about how many calories I am consuming. My husband tried the Sizzling Asian Shrimp and Brocoli. We both loved our selections. We loved finally being able to take the kids out to dinner and not feeling as if we were an inconvenience to those around us. This is a great restaurant for a date night, or even a family night out! Affordable, friendly, and good food...what more could you ask for?!?
